Javier Bardem opens up about married life
Handsome Spanish actor Javier Bardem has opened up about his marriage to stunning movie star Penelope Cruz, stating that they are happy in their relationship.
In a recent interview with GQ magazine, the 43-year-old Oscar-winner said he has found his soul-mate in the sexy brunette, whom he stared alongside in Woody Allen's Vicky Christina Barcelona.
He remarked: "I’m happily married ... I breathe and stay in peace. I truly thank whoever's up there for giving me the opportunity to be loved."
Bardem's comments were unusually frank for the actor, who is renowned for keeping his relationship with Cruz well and truly behind closed doors.
He also suggested part of his acting success - which saw him win an Academy Award for his role in No Country For Old Men - was down to his ability to explore his feminine side.
The couple started dating in 2007 and married two years later in a small ceremony at a friend's house in the Bahamas before the actress gave birth to their first child Leonardo in January last year.
